Studio brief 4: Feedback from initial crit

The initial crit lead to the decision to develop the idea base don the Twitter hashtag 'adulting'. The idea could be developed so that my own experiences could be displayed in a humorous way. Creating a series of posters in the format of a newspaper or magazine was thought to be the best way to develop this idea, having each page designed to be a poster that could be torn out and stuck on the walls of student accommodation. As it is playing on the idea of being an adult, I have decided to base the format of the publication the design of a broadsheet newspaper. This type of newspaper is seen to be more traditional and more commonly read by adults, I would assume.

The newspaper would be 8 pages and each page would be a different scenario/theme. The background image would need to be visually pleasing so that it could act as a poster if the fresher wanted to use it as that.
In terms of layout, I think the photo will be the background, the '#adulting' will be placed as the most important type on top of the image and then there will need to be a small amount of type at the bottom which will have the stories or thoughts on the particular scenario.
I would like to experiment with different colour schemes sourced from different things such as twitter, LCA website colours and other appropriate colours.
The majority of the content will be personal experiences, stories of others in the class and research into the tweets on twitter. Each page will be slightly different in terms of what kind of thing is spoken about. I would like to have one page of which I would be able to discuss some places that I have visited and enjoyed.
