CB - Initial ideas

The initial ideas show the exploration of mainly thread and how this can create an outline and then feed into the main writing within the logo. The initial sketches look at the different ways in which the 3 elements of a shape, the collection name and the designers name can work together and be placed. A lot of the sketches tended to go back to the idea that the circular shape would hold more contextual relevance if there was two, representing the idea that the fashion collection is a ‘second skin’.

As part of the initial ideas development the main shapes that may be used as part of the design were repetitively hand drawn onto Procreate so that there were a number of variations to experiment with when converted into vectors.

When planning the idea of making the logo look as through it had been drawn out using thread I sketched out the ways in which this would work considering the fact that thread would be a continuous line style of outcome. I then annotated onto the drawing the elements that did and did not work.
