Studio Brief 2: Final typeface

Overall I think the bespoke typeface ‘unorthodox’ successfully shows the characteristics of the adjective, fulfilling the intended purpose. The use of 3D letterforms to create the shadow which is now ‘unorthodox’ is an engaging concept, communicating the importance of physical elements as well as the final 2D bespoke typeface. The characteristics of each letterform are similar to those of Baskerville, but the process to get to the stage was unique and untraditional. The word unorthodox is about breaking tradition and being radical.
This is clearly illustrated in this typeface, but the legibility of the letters is still there because the identifiable structures of the Baskerville typeface have been maintained.
