Having decide upon the idea of teatime we thought that a fabric back drop would work well for the aesthetic and symbolise a table cloth. Sophie and I went to the Leeds Kirkgate market to find some material to use. We wanted a pink fabric following on from the inspiration on the Pinterest board and colours of the biscuits. Fig.1 shows the first fabric we fond in the market, but this was not bright enough and was a little thin so it meant that it might not work well as a backdrop. Fig.2 was the chosen fabric upon recommendation by the owner of the stall - much brighter and also with a slight shine to allow it to show up in a more vibrant/bold manner on camera.
The biscuits (fig.3) were then sourced from Morrisons, a total of £15 worth. The majority of the biscuits were custard creams and bourbons because we thought that these would be the best t standing up to create a domino effect - the main part of our video idea. The rest were more for experimental purposes as we were unsure as to what we could do with them until we began to play around.
