Design for screen - Brief

Brief:
Create an immersive and engaging screen based experience for a media of your choice
- website
- app 
- streaming service

Identify the following:
- the client
- the problem
- the target audience
- the overarching aim of the project (what are you trying to achieve)

The role of communications:
Deliver a world class digital experience that engages the audience, how can you maximise the potential of digital devices?
Considerations:
Must be global - Digital formats are viewed on a global scale, this must inform your approach and design decisions.
Do not need to know the coding, but should know how to work with those who develop it.
Adobe Xd, After Effects, Photoshop etc. could be used to visualise your designs in context.
Use mixed media:
A combination of image, audio and video should be considered in your design strategy.

TO DO
  • Identify a problem
  • "overload, clutter and confusion are not attributes of information, they are failures of design." - Edward Tufte, 2011
  • Choose between computers, smart tv's, mobile phones, sat nav's, projections etc
User interface 
- meeting/conversation between two things (computer and human being)
- navigation, menus, buttons, links, windows, error messages, banners, scrolling etc.

User Experience
- the overall experience of the person using the product such as a website, app, focusing mainly on the ease of use
- solving problems, understanding needs, efficiency, entertainment, convenience, productivity etc.
