Superfly: Album Artwork

King Gizzard + The Lizard Wizard
This group of musicians play Australian psychedelic rock and their album artwork and overall visual identity reflects this well through the use of bold typefaces, very diverse colour palettes and visually very dominant vector images alongside the text.

Parliament

They are a funk band most prominent in the 1970s, confirmed by the album artwork. The grainy style photos paired with sans-serif typefaces of capital letters. The lettering plays a big part in the visual appearance of the album covers, often very vibrant in colour and contrasting to the rest fo the image and other type.

George Clinton

An American singer, songwriter, band leader and record producer in the 70s/80s. The album artwork takes common associations with the time period in which they were created and presenting them in a hand drawn and 'busy' manner. The colours used are vibrant and seem to contrast with each other to create artwork with a lot of personality and energy, reflecting the music genre.

Erykah Badu

She is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, disc jockey, activist, and actress. The album artwork also reflects her as an individual, with connotations of her holistic healing coming through as part of the artwork. The artwork despite being very vibrant and visually busy, has a sense of calmness and organisation.
